Firefly launches new customer service offering along with Peugeot Lounge as partners

7 May 2015, SUBANG – As the biggest scheduled service airline to operate out of Subang Skypark, Firefly today announced the launch of its collaboration with Peugeot Lounge.

Present at the launch held at Peugeot Lounge in Subang Skypark Terminal Airport were Firefly Chief Executive Officer Ignatius Ong and Nasim Sdn. Bhd. Chief Operating Officer Dato’ Samson Anand George.

Firefly guests can now experience the Peugeot Lounge service at a special price of RM25, half the price of Peugeot Lounge walk-in customers’ rate (RM50). Their services include light refreshments, WiFi and internet services, Astro TV entertainment, flight information display, newspapers and magazines, a meeting room and a VIP room. As the first of its kind in the world, the Peugeot Lounge was also recognized for being the nation’s "First Automotive Airport Lounge" by the Malaysia Book of Records.

Ong said, “We recently celebrated the incredible milestone of turning 8 years old, having flown 2.2 million guests and the introduction of several new routes and products. We continuously try to innovate and find ways to add value to the Firefly experience. The Peugeot Lounge service is one such example. It is a great way for us to differentiate ourselves from the other airlines here at Skypark. Through this collaboration, it is our goal to alleviate most of the stress that business people and commuters on-the-go face at airports especially during peak periods. We chose to partner with Peugeot Lounge because of its location on the first floor where there aren’t that many people, it’s near to the departure and arrival gate and it has a flight information display that will show you when it’s time for you to board your flight. All attributes that tie back to our tagline, Beyond Convenience”.

“As someone who is always on the go, I know it can get very stressful when you have a million things on your mind but nowhere quiet to think. Peugeot Lounge is the perfect place to do that. You can make business calls, catch up on your work, or have a moment to yourself in a private environment before your flight out,” highlighted Ong.

“Although the Peugeot Lounge is exclusive to Peugeot owners, we have found broad appeal with non-Peugeot owners. Hence, as the only airport lounge in Skypark, this partnership with Firefly offers their guests an exclusive experience to enjoy the Peugeot Lounge service at a special price of RM25. We hope that guests savour the exclusivity and privileges of our brand and aspire to become part of the Peugeot family,” said Dato’ Samson Anand George, Chief Operating Officer of Nasim Sdn Bhd.

Firefly guests are able to book this service on the airline’s website two (2) hours before their flights and enter the Peugeot Lounge three (3) hours prior to their flight departure time. The Peugeot Lounge is only made available for scheduled flight departure from or upon arrival at Subang Skypark Terminal only. Upon entering Peugeot Lounge, Firefly guests who have booked this service online are required to present their identification document, and boarding pass for verification. As for Firefly guests who did not book for this service online during their flight booking, they are still able to book the Peugeot Lounge service through Firefly’s Call Centre at 03-7845 4543 or Firefly’s Manage My Booking Section online. Walk-in guests’ entry fee remains at RM50 per person. Open from 6 AM to 9 PM daily, the Peugeot Lounge is located on the first floor of the airport above Secret Recipe and next to the airport exit.

The Peugeot Lounge service is also included in Firefly’s FlyPremier package. FlyPremier is designed to cater to the needs of both holiday and frequent travelers. It allows guests to one (1) free flight change, additional 10kg baggage allowance, priority baggage, free seat selection, access to Firefly Biz Zone and Peugeot Lounge which are available at Subang Skypark Terminal, and the opportunity to earn Enrich Miles.
